The magic begins the moment you step inside.
After you pass a delicate art deco wall with the slogan of the city written on it, a map showing every part of Shanghai lies under your feet. The round screens on the ceiling move when you stand on the map and a video begins with the words "welcome to Shanghai" in huge print, displaying the past, present and future views of the city.

你还可能会随机遇到两个版本的“城市电影”——
一个是真实的上海，一个是数字化的虚拟城市。

置身微缩街区
感觉自己变成了巨人！
Themed around "A Humanistic City," the second floor shows the connections between the city and its residents. The city's history, historic buildings and areas, and human-based planning can be found on this floor.

上了二楼，第一时间就被这些精致无比的“建筑群”吸引——
Meanwhile, this area offers a useful guide to find your destination on a historic Shanghai trip, and takes in all the city's representative buildings in miniature view.

1:200的精确比例，完美复刻至每一个细节。
This includes the Park Hotel, which was the tallest building in Asia after its completion in 1934 until 1963, and the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, the design of which draws heavily on Russian and Empire-style neoclassical architecture with Stalinist neoclassical innovations.

更有未来感的是，还可以通过AI技术，扫描这些建筑模型，看到它们背后的故事！

It also includes the redeveloped shikumen (literally "stone gate") areas, such as the 102-year-old Sinan Mansions located on Sinan Road, as well as the future planning model for Zhang's Garden, which dates back to 1872 when a British merchant bought the area to build garden villas and is now under renovation -- transforming into a new "Xintiandi" of Jing'an District.

Themed "An Innovative City," the third floor showcases the city's future planning. In addition to descriptions of the city's innovation strategy and planning, interactive displays enable you to step into Shanghai of the future and understand how it will work.

全世界最酷的5D数字化沉浸式城市沙盘，就在3楼，带你一步跨入虚拟的“上海”。
有多神奇？你可以选择不同的上海城市区域，或者使用操纵杆，沉浸式地“漫游”在城市街区，就仿佛乘坐“飞跃地平线”游览了整个上海！
The highlight is the 5D Digital Immersion Sand Table -- offering a bird's-eye view of the entire city. Step on the huge ground-curved screen and wander through Shanghai with a 5D viewing angle. The immersive experience reminds me of a popular ride at Disneyland, Roaring Over the Horizon. Compared to the one at Disneyland, this 5D map displays information about the city, including details about buildings and roads you pass through in your daily life.

巨大的内凹双曲面投影屏幕，占据了上下两个楼层，用最新的人工智能建模等先进技术，为6400平方公里的上海建设出了同等大小的数字化城市仿真模型！
据说这个沙盘还会伴随着城市的发展智能生长！时刻与真实世界保持一致，也太不可思议了吧！

未来版“地下上海”
Upstairs, eco-friendly city plans are displayed with the theme "An Ecological City." Splendid views of the city come alive when you arrive on the fourth floor. An interactive building model of the West Bund Media Port displays a future eco-friendly public space currently under construction.

千万不要错过4楼的西岸传媒港互动模型——
拿起iPad， 整个模型都“活”了起来，感觉像走进了浸入式AR游戏，成为了虚拟“立体城”的一员。
The future map of the Media Port is displayed on an iPad, where sunlight and fresh air reach the ground floor through an innovative "city core," cars are parked in an orderly fashion and visitors walk along stairs and bridges in the atrium connecting the four floors.

而这个模型中的场景是未来真实存在的，就是正在建设之中的西岸传媒港。
在不久的将来，你就可以走进同款真实场景——这真的很魔幻了。
竟然还有这么多互动游戏
玩到停不下来！
Practices to create a green city have been designed into several interactive games -- turn the handle to get power to light the city and charge your phone as well.

在4楼，还可以玩游戏——比如说可以手动发电，点亮整个上海，并为你的手机充电（这真的很实用！）
或者一起玩一个碳中和游戏，这些“碳”的手感也太好了！
Press a button to learn about your carbon footprint, then put stones on different plates to represent different ways of saving energy and reducing emissions.

竟然还可以一键切换视角！忍不住要为研发人员打call！
The exhibition ends with migratory birds singing on Chongming Island, seen through an interactive telescope.
